I am available to present to groups (especially my fellow Janeites in other JASNA regions!) on the topic of botanical women in Georgian England. This could be a great topic for women’s history month (March in the U.S.), the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11), Priscilla Wakefield’s birthday (January 31), the start of spring and gardening season, or any other occasion related to women’s achievements! I have two versions of the presentation, one that is a general survey of scientific women and one that is focused more on the author and activist Priscilla Wakefield. Both versions are 45-50 minutes with time for questions and discussion.
Getting ready to present at the 2022 Jane Austen Society of North America convention.
